Looks like the sun may make an appearance in Melbourne this weekend... so what better time to get out and aboat. No, that wasn't a typo... go for a spin on the bay this weekend at the Melbourne Boat Show! Also this weekend, giant ants take over Melbourne, and the Fun4Kids festival a short trip down the Great Ocean Road...
The Melbourne Boat Show
If you're looking for a 'beast' to make you the fastest on the water or simply a small tinnie to take your family out on the bay, you'll find exactly what you're looking for at The Melbourne Boat Show. And the kids don't need to get bored: there are plenty of youngin' activities to keep them entertained.
When: 5th-9th July (open 10am - 9pm every day except Sunday & Monday 10am - 7pm)

Polygot's Ants Take Over Melbourne
Thanks to Polygot Theatre, giants ants are taking over Melbourne! Let these ants take your children on a treasure-hunt that will teach them valuable skills in combining work with play. The children will be helping the ants find their 'big paper parcel' food hidden all over Fed Square - and then helping them bring the loot back to the nest: it's fun and games for all.
When: 3rd-8th July Sessions held at 10am, 1am, noon, 2pm, 3pm, 4pm

Fun4Kids Festival
If you feel like a bit of a road trip this weekend then head down The Great Ocean Road to Warrnambool for the Fun4Kids Festival. Workshops and hands-on activities the kids can get involved with will give the active youngster a blast of a day. Live performances too, and an abundance of kids art... and the whole thing is indoors - inside a massive 2.5 acre venue.
