Watcha’ Watchin’ – Star Trek: The Next Generation
Main article content
Star Trek have just celebrated 30 years since its first episode. It has it all, skin tight body suits, big hair, cheesy acting and unconvincing sets and special effects.
I come from a family of Sci-fi nerds, this was a show we watched as a family and I remember as a child being so impressed with the make-up and costumes that depicted aliens from as-yet unknown planets.
It was recently added to Netflix (in its entirety) and I felt the desire to watch it again…
Here’s a quick reminder…
But 176 episodes… 136 hours… seemed a serious commitment. I have plenty of TV to watch, I don’t have that kind of time!
That’s when I found a fabulous blog… It housed abridged versions of the entire series.
The blog also collated 40 of the most significant episodes together. These 40 episodes covered major developments in characters, story arcs and intergalactic politics. These are the episodes that introduce new species or major changes in the story-line. It was amazing to get to the end and really not feel like I’d missed anything.
I have found similar lists for other Star Trek series, Buffy the Vampire Slayer… I am sure there would be plenty of others… just search online!
