Music is something you must stick at to be good at. Rob Smith has stuck to music for 25 years and he’s very good at it. After two and a half decades of writing, practicing, singing and performing he’s produced many notable worship songs, including Thanksgiving and Worthy of All Praise. We hear about Rob’s heart for music and his calling to the area of worship.
Rob tells of his life before he came to know Jesus, explaining his early days of music where he was searching for fulfilment and something greater, that he thought could be found in music itself. However, after two separate incidents’ where Rob was forced away from music for a period of time, he delightfully explains how he came to know Jesus as his personal Lord and Saviour.
From this moment on, music became a calling for Rob, a gift he knew could only be God given and in return he knew he had to use the gift for the glory of God. 25 years on, Rob continues to use his God given talent to influence people from all walks of life, all over the world.
Rob shares of the role music plays in the Christian faith and speaks openly about how it’s helped him in his own life and walk with God. We are treated to Rob’s wonderful musicality as he sings A New Song in my Heart, a song with raw emotion and meaning behind it.
