Sharon Witt on NAPLAN testing

Today marks a very important day for schools across the country, with students in Grades 3, 5, 7 and 9 being tested as part of the National Assessment Program - Literacy and Numeracy (otherwise known as NAPLAN).

Sharon Witt joins Ken and Lucy to answer a few questions about its importance and dispel a few NAPLAN myths about how much emphasis is really needed.

Would you slap a policeman??

A plane has been forced to make an emergency landing for one very vocal lady, who was escorted off the plane for a very strange reason...belting out Whitney Houston songs non-stop! Ken hilariously re-enacts how the interrogation must've sounded...

And while we're on the topic of extreme measures, a woman, knowing that she would end up in jail, made a conscious decision to slap a policeman because it was the only way she'd be able to stop smoking. Surely there are other ways!!

Daily Wrap Up - 14th May

Today, on the Daily Wrap Up...

Lucy shares a story about a full-scale evacuation that perhaps didn't need to happen!! People complained that buildings in the area smelled like gas...but it wasn't gas at all! Whaaaaat??

And forget the State Budget! Renovations at Victorian Parliament have revealed a much more important issue; a serious rat and mouse problem!!

Lastly, Ken and Lucy's interview with The Biggest Loser Australia trainer Shannon Ponton didn't exactly go as you'd expect!

Ken and Lucy help the Brits celebrate...

In celebration of Will and Kate's baby due date announced, Ken and Lucy have decided to help the Brits design some ‘classy’ memorabilia to commemorate the day. Stay tuned…there might be a pop up store coming soon near you!

In job news, Ken gives you his top 5 interview tips…what not to ask when applying for a job!

Also, find out what one 14 year old student discovered about the iPad 2 whilst conducting a her science project...

The Daily Wrap Up 13th May

This morning on the Daily Wrap Up, hear Ken's cheeky antics in the studio...hmm...perhaps not a good move since Lucy hasn't had her morning cuppa due to 'technical difficulties' with the office kettle.

On another note...are you a coffee or tea drinker? If so do you need it to function in the morning like Lucy?

Finally, did you know 13% of people wished their mums  a Happy Mother's Day on Facebook? Uh oh!

Would you go live on Mars?

On Ken and Lucy this morning, we found out what an 83 year old nun has been found guilty for…the answer is probably not what you think!

Also, in Space News, it seems 78,000 people have put their hands up to willingly leave Earth to go live on Mars forever. Yikes! Listen in as Ken and Lucy compare what life would be like living on Mars vs Earth. If you are one of the 78,000 their comparison might..uh..just help?!

Listen in below...

Front Page News

Read all about it! The news that should've been on the front page...

So what happens when you try a stunt in which you allow an SUV to roll over you in reverse?

Exactly what you'd expect, actually...

Thoughtful (?) Mother's Day Ideas

Ken and Linda discuss some thoughtful ideas for going the extra mile and making your mum feel special this Mother's Day...

Or rather, maybe these are some things NOT to do.

Storm the grid and WIN

Would a $300 gift voucher from Target come in handy??

Well, Ken and Lucy are giving you the chance to win it! All you need to do is...Storm the Grid!

If you've ever played battle ships before, this should be easy for you. Simply identify the 'target' by guessing where you think the position of that $300 voucher is on the grid. Guess correctly and take home your reward!

Stay tuned in to Ken and Lucy Thursday 9th May to win - all thanks to our friends at Target Australia.

Rob Mills on Celebrity Apprentice

Rob Mills is part of this year’s Celebrity Apprentice joined Ken and Lucy to share about his experience on the show so far.

He says, dealing with lots of big personalities on the show was daunting; however, it has given him the opportunity to learn a lot about himself.

He has learned to take more responsibility for his actions when he took up the role as project manager on the show. This position forced him to step up and take control and helped him grow at a personal level.
