“There was a wonderful, warm, genuine engagement.”

Pastor Wally from Christians in Crisis

Pastor Wally McDaniel overcame great challenges against his faith, living in a non-accepting society, and found himself battling extreme persecution. Overcoming all of this with his resilient faith, and the support from major organisations through protests and awareness, Pastor Wally carried on his love for a ‘global advocacy’, and founded Christians in Crisis.

“Love our enemies according to Christ,” he reflects, “Show case the love of God, no matter what.”

Matt Mikalatos – Imaginary Jesus

Lee Hatcher talks with Matt Mikalatos about his new book, Imaginary Jesus. Matt explores the way the way we change who Jesus is depending on our circumstances. Because we cannot see everything about Jesus clearly yet, we tend to fill in the blanks with what we think he is or looks like. Matt talks about why we can’t make Jesus in our image, that we are, in fact, created in God’s image.

A lost life restored

Leigh Hatcher chats on Open House with Uong Nguyen, pastor at Jesus Family Centre in Cabramatta. Having been through the brutal Vietnamese army as a conscript and surviving torture by the Khmer Rouge, Uong found Jesus through the most unlikely of circumstances. He has also written a book about his amazing journey and transformation entitled I Am A New Creation. Listen in to his story on the interview on Open House below.
