Archbishop of Melbourne for the Catholic Church Denis Hart shared his insights regarding the recent election of Pope Francis.

He joined Clayton on the show to discuss the various ways in which he believes the new pope will be able to offer something quite special and unique to the Catholic Church.

“I was just touched very deeply by the way in which he prayed with the people, but then the profound silence when he invited them to pray for him.

“There was a wonderful, warm, genuine engagement.”

In analysis of his choice of name, “Francis” holds the positive connotations of being an understanding and embracing person. Archbishop Hart also explains how Pope Francis’ Jesuit background will bring a heightened focus on Jesus Christ.

Tune in to hear more about how the Pope’s experiences and education are uniquely suited to his new position.
