Cass and Kel

Sadly, Cass & Kel will not be broadcasting together in 2013, as Cass moves on to bigger and better things!

A new show will be announced soon but in the meantime, you can revisit all your favourite segments right here! You can also like us on Facebook or follow us on Twitter.

First winner of the Love Challenge!

Jess (filling in for Cass) and Kel call a listener to announce that they are the first winner of the LightFM's Love Challenge in celebration of Marriage Week.

By simply nominating a significant love song for herself and her spouse, and then calling back when the song was played, Alyssa has won a weekend away for herself and husband Charlie, thanks to station sponsor Blue Moon Cottages.

Listen in to find out how you can also win

Stone Age Road Rage

The 'Fliz' is an entirely new breed of bike, lacking traditional amenities such as pedals and a seat and requiring the 'rider' to power themselves forward...much like a certain animated Stone Age family we all know and love, The Flintstones.

Cass believes that the Fliz will be the next big thing, though Kel isn't convinced, as demonstrated by his display of road rage...Flintstones style.

The Week That Was - Dulcet Tones and Dinner Parties

This week on THE WEEK THAT WAS...

Russell Crowe seems to be under the belief that he is invincible, a zombie is elected as President of the United States (his campaign platform had a solid foundation of brains) and Cass attempts to put on the most awful, terrible, abysmal, horrendous, shocking, insulting, reprehensible Scottish accent heard outside of Hollywood.

You may insert more derogatory terms at your leisure.

Zombie as President?

Zombie, who goes by the name of Mister Zombie, is running as a presidential candidate for the United States. He has one agenda on his list: job creation for fellow zombies. Tune in to find out what he stands for - in terms of unemployment, education policies and much more....... Vote 1: Mister Zombie?

A Proposal like No Other

There is a lot of pressure on men these days to go the extra mile to propose to that special lady. Cass and Kel share a Russian proposal story that is beyond all compare! There could be some lucrative franchising opportunities in coming up with unique proposal ideas......some ideas (perhaps!) for those intending to propose?

Cass and Kel's 'Game On'

We’ve all experienced a long flight, train or bus ride with a baby that just won’t stop crying… and let’s face it, it’s often not the most pleasant of experiences!

With differing views on crying babies in public places, drive show duo Cass and Kel go head to head in the battle of the crying baby. While Kel gives a voice to the millions of babies worldwide, Cass speaks up for others of us who want nothing more than peace and quiet during our nightly commute home from work, that long flight overseas or when doing our weekly grocery shopping!

Legacy Week

As part of national Legacy Week, President of Melbourne Legacy Dr Bryce Phillips stopped by to have a chat with Cass and Kel.

Legacy has been around for 90 years and came about after WWI, known as ‘The Great War’. Legacy was started because such a high percentage of Australian servicemen who fought in the war were badly injured or deceased. Since then, Legacy has been dedicated to caring for the families of the deceased and incapacitated veterans.

AC/DC fan arrested!

There’s nothing wrong with playing your favourite song over and over nice and loud…or is there? An American woman has been arrested four times in the space of 26 hours for disturbing neighbours by playing Highway to Hell by AC/DC too loud!

Cass and Kel do not know quite what to make of this, but they certainly feel bad for the poor policeman involved. Listen to the hilarious audio from the 'policeman’s vehicle' as he tries to diffuse the loud music situation!

Cass and Kel's Parenting Helpline!

After finishing up a big day out over the weekend for Father's Day and an even busier evening of getting dinner sorted and the kids packed for the week, Cass thought she had a night of blissful relaxation in sight. Just as she was about to put her feet up, her daughter, Zara mentioned she needed a costume for that Wednesday at school! So, between then and the next morning Cass had to somehow come up with an 'Elizabethan' costume!

Sam reaches his goal to help the homeless!

On the last night of winter, while most of us were probably indoors huddled up by a heater or sitting on the couch, eight-year-old Sam stayed true to his promise and slept outside all night in the cold to raise money for homeless people in Australia! Young Sam, with the help of the Salvation Army, decided to organise the fundraiser to help support homeless people and is thrilled to have reached his fundraising goal.
